What is a target story?
It’s a narrative. It’s an actual story that paints a picture of who the person is that embodies your ideal audience.
Why does it matter?
Because unless you know who you’re talking to, you won’t
How do you write one?
Example 1: “Good afternoon. My name is Brandi and today I’m going to present my design(s) for INH Products. Let me introduce you to William. William is 26 and is a fairly recent college graduate who majored in Biology…”
Example 2: “I’d like you to meet William. William is 26 and is a fairly recent college graduate who majored in Biology… Today I’d like to present my design(s) for INH Products”
WHO IS YOUR IDEAL AUDIENCE?
  • Name
  • Age
  • Where do they live? (city)
  • Spouse and # of Children?
  • What kind of car do they drive?
  • How much money do they make?
  • What kind of job do they have?
  • Where they go on vacation and/or what hotels do they stay in?
  • How do they spend their free time? Spending money?
  • What kind of YouTube videos do they search for?
  • Where do they shop?
  • What are their biggest fears?
  • Why do they follow me or my client?
