Uncommon Inspiration

  • Color Palette Cinema on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/colorpalette.cinema/
  • Everything from Queen’s Gambit to Scott Pilgrim to Lord of the Rings and The Wizard of Oz. They show color palettes
  • I really appreciate how they highlight the color grading (“During color grading, colorists use editing software to stylize the footage—emphasizing the visual tone and atmosphere of a movie, and making it look more cinematic. Color grading can be used to make both technical and creative changes. Color grading is how you enhance or alter the color of a motion picture, video image, or still image. It’s how videographers adjust the colors of their footage to achieve a visual mood or tone. Color grading was once called color timing, a process done manually while developing actual film.”
“Color can affect us psychologically, often without us being aware, and can be used as a strong device in a story.”

ABOUT ME

Since I was a little girl, I’ve had the ability to see inspiration in unusual things. As I grew into my career, I learned how to harness that ability and combine it with strategy to develop The Strategic Process™ for designers who want to strengthen their creative confidence so they can present design work that gets approved the first time. I can’t wait to talk with you about how you can be empowered with the tools you need to level up your design game.
